Oily Skin

Having Oily skin is because of over production of sebum by sebaceous glands which are located deep within the skin’s layer. Too much sebum can clog pores and cause the acnes.

So People who have oily skin they challenge with open pores and acne more than others.

Here are some guide to help yourself if you have oily skin:

1-Wash your face with right facial wash proper for oily skin twice a day.(morning and night)

2-Use proper toner after using facial wash. The toners that contain alcohol tend to dry out the skin. Natural astringents, such as witch hazel, can have skin soothing properties. Make sure that test out any new toner on a small patch of your skin to avoid potential irritation.

3-Use medicated pads (blotting papers) which can be used to lift excess oil off the skin throughout the day to make it appear less shiny but it will not treat  the sebum production!

4- Exfoliate your face 2 times a week. Just be careful not to over-exfoliate, because that can cause skin damage and may encourage your skin you produce more oil.

5- Use a facial mask for treating oily skin that contain ingredients such as honey or oatmeal 2 -3 times a week.

6-Use oil free moisturiser 2 times a day(morning and night) to hydrate your skin. Sometimes aloe vera could be a good moisturizer for treating acne and oily skin.

7- Use oil free makeup products, that won’t clog pores and always remove your make up before sleeping.

8- Always use sunscreen. You need to protect your skin from the sun to prevent aging and pigmentation, Look for oil free and zinc oxide formulas

9- Be careful about your diet and Choose healthy fruits and vegetables and lean proteins, and cut down on sugar-sweetened beverages because Foods with high fats, sugars, and unhealthy oils can cause a negative reaction in your skin.
