Golden Pulse is not in Vaughan — we are in Richmond Hill, about 15 to 25 minutes from most of Vaughan depending on where you start. We are saying that up front because a lot of clinic pages pretend to have a location in every city they list. We have one clinic on Yonge Street in Richmond Hill, and a large share of the people we treat drive in from Woodbridge, Maple, Concord, Thornhill and Kleinburg.
If that drive is worth it to you, here is exactly what you get and what it costs.
Getting here from Vaughan
| Starting from | Route | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Thornhill | Yonge Street north | 10–15 min |
| Concord | Highway 7 east, then Yonge north | 15–20 min |
| Maple | Rutherford Rd east, then Yonge north | 15–20 min |
| Woodbridge | Highway 7 east, then Yonge north | 20–25 min |
| Kleinburg | Major Mackenzie east, then Yonge south | 20–25 min |
We are at 9610 Yonge Street, Unit A2, Richmond Hill, on the stretch of Yonge just north of Major Mackenzie. There is parking on site, which matters if you are booking a lunch-hour appointment.
What we use
Our laser hair removal is done with the Soprano Ice diode platform. The practical difference for you is two things: it works on the full range of skin tones rather than only fair skin, and it uses a moving, cooled handpiece rather than single high-energy pulses, which most clients find far more tolerable than older machines.
If you have deeper skin and have been told elsewhere that laser is not for you, that advice is out of date. We explain the details on our laser for all skin types page.
What it costs
Our full body package is $1,250 for six sessions. Individual areas are priced per session with a discount when you book three or six at once. Current pricing for every area is on our price list, and it is the same whether you come from Vaughan or from next door — we do not price by postal code.
One thing worth knowing before you compare quotes: a clinic advertising a very low per-session price is not necessarily cheaper overall. What matters is the total for a full course. Ask every clinic how many sessions they expect, then multiply.
How many sessions you should budget for
Most areas need six to eight sessions spaced four to six weeks apart; the face usually needs more, at shorter intervals. That means a realistic course runs six to ten months. We break down the numbers area by area in how many laser hair removal treatments you need.
Plan the drive accordingly: this is not a one-visit treatment, so pick a clinic you are willing to come back to eight times.
What a first visit looks like
- Consultation and patch test. We assess your skin type and hair, then test a small area at the settings we intend to use.
- Shave, do not wax. Shave the area the day before. Stop waxing, plucking and epilating at least four weeks in advance — they remove the root the laser needs.
- No sun or self-tanner for two weeks before. Tanned skin has to be treated at lower settings, which slows your progress.
- Protective eyewear for you and the technician, cooling gel on the skin, and settings matched to your skin type.
Why people drive here instead of booking around the corner
Vaughan has no shortage of clinics, so the honest answer is that we are not the closest option for anyone reading this. What we offer is a clinic that has been doing laser and permanent makeup since 2014, technicians who do this all day rather than as an add-on to another business, and a consultation that gives you a session range and a real total rather than a package designed to sell you a fixed number of visits.
If a clinic closer to you offers the same, book there — the drive should buy you something.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have a Vaughan location?
No. Our clinic is in Richmond Hill on Yonge Street. We also have a second location north of the city; call us and we will tell you which one is easier for you.
Is parking available?
Yes, on site.
Can I book evenings or weekends?
Call +1 416 561 8803 and we will find a slot — appointment times change seasonally, so we would rather tell you what is actually open than publish a schedule that goes stale.
Does laser work on light or grey hair?
Poorly. Laser targets pigment, so blonde, red, grey and white hair respond much less than dark hair. We will tell you honestly at the consultation rather than sell you a package that will not work.
Is it painful?
Most clients describe a warm snap rather than pain. See does laser hair removal hurt.
