Few tips for safe laser hair removal in the summer

The most important advice, to avoid unpleasant hyper-pigmentation, burns and even permanent damages to your skin is “AVOIDING THE SUN!”

You should avoid exposure to the sunlight and tanning in a period of minimum 15 days before and after a laser hair removal treatment. Sunlight makes your skin darker and more sensitive to the high energy laser beam. Laser treatment of unexposed areas such as underarm or bikini areas is less sensitive during summer.

Do not forget that applying a sunscreen with proper SPF, can protect your skin against harmful UVA and UVB rays. The sunscreen blocks ultraviolet light from damaging the skin. UVB causes sunburn, and UVA has more long-term damaging effects on the skin, like premature aging.
